Sabudana Khichdi Recipe – Navratri Fasting Recipe

Ingredients for Sabudaba Khichdi Recipe

  • 1 Cup Sabudana (tapioca pearls) soaked in water overnight or  it can be soaked for 2- 3 hours also
  • 2 Medium size Potato
  • ½ Cup Peanuts Roasted and crushed
  • 3-4 Green Chili finely chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • ½ Teaspoon sugar (Optional)
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Table spoon Refined Oil
  • Rock Salt ( As per taste)

Method of cooking Sabudana Khichdi Recipe

  • Wash Sabudana drain the water then add around 3/4 a cup of water and soaked overnight or 5-6 Hours is also fine
  • Boil the Potato peel and mashed.
  • Roast the peanuts, once cool down crush it into a dry grinder. Do not make it very thin
  • Take oil in a frying pan on medium heat
  • Add Cumin seeds let it crackle then add green chili
  • Once green chili get brown add mashed potato sauté it for 2-3 minutes
  • Add Peanuts and sauté it for around 3-4 minutes then add Sabudana and rock salt
  • Saute it for 2 min then add sugar (Optional) and turn the flame in slow cover  it and cook it for 5 to 7 minutes
  • Check Subudana color should change to transparent add lemon juice then switch off the flame and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with Curd
